SNOW JOE “Supercharges” Older Adult Spring Cleanup Event on Earth Day

Leading tech-driven tools company SNOW JOE® donates high-powered SUN JOE 24-Volt/48-Volt iON+ cordless tools and hosts a live show to support older adult spring cleanup event in West Orange, NJ

HOBOKEN, NJ [April 22, 2022] — SNOW JOE, a technology-driven tool company that innovates and distributes high-quality, yet affordable, eco-conscious home, yard, garage, and garden gear, supported the West Orange, NJ older adult spring cleanup volunteer event, hosted by I Want To Mow Your Lawn, Inc. The event took place on Earth Day, the annual environmental movement, on April 22.

During the growing season, grass is best groomed with a weekly mowing to help keep it healthy and reduce the risk of a yard pest infestation. And for many, the physical and financial burden of mowing can mean that those who struggle with lawn maintenance end up with overgrown, unruly yards. I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc. — founded in 2020 — strives to preserve dignity, enable independence and build community by providing eco-friendly essential lawn service for the elderly, veterans, and others in need.

A dozen West Orange senior residences benefited from a lawn + garden spring clean-up. The volunteers who provided these essential lawn care services brought their own landscaping supplies and were given bags, rakes, and gloves by the township; and SNOW JOE also participated by donating high-powered SUN JOE 24-Volt/48-Volt iON+ cordless lawn mowers and grass trimmers to the cause.

The company also hosted a special Earth Day livestream broadcast from the event of its popular “JOE SHOW LIVE”, seen daily on Amazon Live — featuring host and DIY expert Eddie O’Donnell — to help boost awareness to the cause and pay it forward to the community.

“We are pleased to partner with the SNOW JOE family of brands to provide older adults the eco-friendly essential lawn services they deserve for the warmer months ahead,” commented Brian Schwartz, founder of I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc.  “And having SUN JOE’s powerful, quiet, zero-carbon emissions cordless tools will make the work we do better for us, better for the air, better for the neighborhood, and better for the environment.”

Together, I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc. and SNOW JOE “Supercharged” West Orange’s older adults’ yards + gardens, providing essential lawn care with zero carbon emissions, to give back to the Earth and give back to their community.

About I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc.

Founded in 2020, at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, I Want To Mow Your Lawn provides 100% free lawn-mowing to people over 65, military veterans, disabled, and under-resourced individuals/families — with green initiatives in mind. For I Want To Mow Your Lawn™ founder, Brian Schwartz, laid off from a digital-advertising job, it was something to do, some way to help, at a time when everything in the world seemed upside down.

In time, demand grew — and other volunteers joined Brian. Currently, over 175 volunteers enlisted across 37 states have helped clean up over 500 yards. For the people that I Want To Mow Your Lawn is helping, the grass may not always be greener but it is cut, kempt, edged, and raked.

Media coverage of the organization across the globe to date has resulted in six times more volunteer enlistments for the 2022 spring-summer season. The organization’s goal? 1,500 yards mowed in all 50 states with at least 500 background-screened volunteers registered by year-end 2022 and 20% growth annually, thereafter. As the organization continues its #MOWmentum , we intend to encourage use of battery-powered electric equipment — in an effort to contribute towards a cleaner earth.
