No nearby family to help with the yard
With no family nearby to pitch in, keeping up the yard has gotten harder. A one-time visit from a volunteer with equipment could help with mowing and leaf removal.
We connect older adults, veterans, and people in need with local volunteers who provide free, temporary yard work — one visit at a time. No cost. No contracts. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

Registered doesn’t always mean available — every visit depends on a volunteer choosing to accept. What to expect
Donations are optional, tax-deductible, and never required for service. They do not guarantee or prioritize help — they fund operations, insurance, and equipment.
Make a Tax-Deductible Donation →Whether you need yard work or want to help a neighbor, the process is simple and free.
Search by zip code or fill out our intake form. Requests can come from you, a family member, caretaker, or case manager.
If the homeowner hasn’t agreed yet, use Mow Notice instead.
Your request becomes visible to participating volunteers near you. Each volunteer chooses the visits they’re able to take.
We can’t promise a match — but when a volunteer accepts, we connect you through privacy-protected channels and they arrive ready to work.
Volunteers log hours and upload before & after photos. Every visit builds the mission.
Every day, older adults, veterans, and neighbors reach out for help with yard work — by phone and online. Right now, 10,761 of those requests are open and waiting for a volunteer. Browse the live feed to see who needs help near you.
Neighbors who maintained their homes for decades now facing physical limitations. A visit provides real relief — and a reminder they're not alone.
Those who served deserve a well-kept space. Many live alone, face mobility challenges, or lack resources to hire help.
Disability, recovery from illness, financial hardship — life can make the outdoors inaccessible. We connect volunteers with anyone who needs a hand.
Every figure represents a real person and a volunteer who chose to show up.
What started with 10 volunteers in Northern New Jersey has grown into a nationwide network — 1,936 and counting.
We are not a paid landscaping service. We're a volunteer-powered nonprofit, and that means we can't promise coverage in every zip code or guarantee response times. Availability depends on location, timing, and volunteer capacity.
Most connections are one-time visits offering temporary relief. Donations are welcomed but never required, and they do not guarantee or prioritize service.
