Why This Matters

Real Estate Professionals See the Problem Every Day

You drive past the overgrown lawn. You meet the elderly homeowner who can’t keep up. You hear from the neighbor worried about the veteran down the street. You already care — most agents do. What’s been missing is a safe, structured, non-sales way to actually help.

Helping on Your Own
✗ You want to help but don’t know who actually needs it
✗ No insurance if something goes wrong on someone’s property
✗ No way to track or share what you did
✗ One-off effort — no system behind it
✗ Hard to know if the person actually wanted help
Through IWTMYL
✓ Matched to neighbors who already asked for help
✓ $1M/$2M liability insurance covers every visit
✓ Hours and before/after photos logged automatically
✓ Year-round system — help whenever you have time
✓ Masked communications protect everyone’s privacy
What We Handle

You Show Up. We’ve Got the Rest.

Helping a neighbor should feel simple. We take care of the logistics, the liability, the communication, and the expectations — so all you have to do is show up and do something good.

✓ Insurance covers every visit — $1M/$2M GL + volunteer accident coverage
✓ Background check is part of signup — you’re credible from day one
✓ Communication is handled through the app — your personal number stays private
✓ The homeowner already knows you’re coming — no cold knocks, no surprises
✓ Hours and photos are logged automatically — you see exactly what you accomplished
✓ Everything is coordinated through IWTMYL — simple to do, easy to explain to anyone who asks
How It Works

Three Ways Your Organization Can Engage

Most partner organizations start with a Service Day, then layer in ongoing engagement. You decide what fits.

1

Coordinate a team Service Day

Pick a date with your team. We match you with a cluster of nearby requests. Multiple yards completed in a single morning. Great for team culture, great for the neighborhood, easy to explain to clients and stakeholders. Equipment, COIs, and day-of logistics handled with you.

Brokerages · Associations · Monthly or quarterly
2

Encourage your agents to volunteer individually

Your agents can sign up to volunteer on their own time — between showings, on weekends, whenever they have a window. Send them to our Real Estate Volunteers lane to get started. No coordination required from your office.

Individual agents · Anytime
3

Refer neighbors who need help

Your team encounters homeowners who need yard help every day — elderly clients, veterans, neighbors in tough spots. Point them to iwanttomowyourlawn.com/client-signup or 862-66-MOWER. That’s it. You just connected someone to the safety net.

Important: IWTMYL is volunteer-powered. Coverage varies by location and we cannot guarantee response times. We always try, and we never charge.
Who This Is For

From Individual Agents to Entire Associations

You don’t need an office behind you to make a difference. But if you have one, we can work with them too.

🙋

Individual Agents

Sign up as a volunteer. Browse nearby requests. Help a neighbor. It’s that simple — no brokerage involvement needed.

Brokerages & Teams

Enroll your team, appoint a Service Captain, and organize Service Days. Extend your annual giving day into something year-round.

🏛

REALTOR® Associations

Coordinate across member firms for neutral, cross-brokerage community service. You already run Care Days — this makes them repeatable.

Why IWTMYL

Built for Dignity, Not Marketing

Other service programs exist. Here’s what makes this one different.

Year-Round, Not One-Day

Requests come in every day. Your participation doesn’t have to wait for an annual event. Help when you can, where you are.

You’re Covered

General liability ($1M/$2M), property damage ($500K), volunteer accident coverage ($1M) through Nonprofits Insurance Alliance. COIs available for partner organizations.

Your Phone Stays Private

Volunteers and homeowners connect through masked calling and texting. No personal phone numbers exchanged. Everyone’s privacy is protected.

Simple and Legitimate

Everything runs through a real nonprofit with real infrastructure. When someone asks what you did this weekend, the answer is easy: “I volunteered through I Want To Mow Your Lawn.”

You See Your Impact

Visits are logged with hours and before/after photos. You can see exactly what your time accomplished — and share it if you choose.

Already Operating in All 50 States

This isn’t a pilot or a concept. IWTMYL has been matching volunteers to neighbors in need since 2020.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost?
Nothing. IWTMYL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Volunteering is free. Recipients never pay. There is no cost to your brokerage, team, or association.
Can our association organize a Service Day?
Absolutely. We work with associations and brokerages to plan group service events. Tell us about your organization in the inquiry form below and we’ll follow up with details on date selection, request matching, equipment, and day-of logistics.
Are volunteers insured? Can you provide a COI?
Yes. IWTMYL carries general liability ($1M/$2M), property damage ($500K), and volunteer accident coverage ($1M) through Nonprofits Insurance Alliance. Certificates of Insurance naming your brokerage or association as additional insured are available on request.
Is this a real, organized program?
Yes. IWTMYL is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in all 50 states since 2020. Partners work through a structured system with background checks, insurance, masked communications, and logged visits. Everything is coordinated through the organization — it’s not a DIY effort.
What’s the difference between volunteering and partnering?
Volunteering is for individual agents who want to help a neighbor on their own time — that’s our Real Estate Volunteers lane. Partnering is for brokerages, teams, and REALTOR® associations who want to organize Service Days, secure COIs, or co-market under brand-safe guidelines. You can do both.
How do partner organizations get started?
Fill out the inquiry form below. We’ll respond within a few business days to schedule a brief intro call — goal is to understand your goals (Service Day, ongoing engagement, COI request, etc.) and walk you through how it works on your end.
