Be the reason your town has free lawn care
Neighbor Care Captains are local volunteers who welcome new helpers, keep an eye out for neighbors who need a hand, and put a friendly face on their town. You don’t need a title, a budget, or experience — just your corner of the map and an hour or two a month.
Every town starts somewhere. Most of the map is still open — and that’s where Captains matter most.
What a Captain does
👋 Be the friendly face
Your first name appears on your town’s page as the local point of pride — with a link to your verified Helper Card so neighbors know you’re the real deal.
🌿 Welcome new volunteers
When someone new joins in your town, you’re the one who says hello and shares what works locally.
👀 Keep an eye out
Spot a yard that needs help? Submit a Mow Notice. Hear about a neighbor in a tough season? Point them our way.
Honest fine print: this is recognition and light coordination, not a job. No quotas, no shifts, no required hours — most Captains spend an hour or two a month. You can step back anytime, and free lawn care is never guaranteed by any one person.
