Voicemail Audio Recordings
Our Service receives incoming phone calls from community members requesting lawn care assistance. These calls are routed through an interactive voice response (IVR) system provided by Ringba, Inc. and may result in recorded voicemail messages.
What is recorded: Callers voluntarily leave voice messages describing their lawn care needs. These recordings may contain the caller’s name, address, phone number, and description of the assistance they require.
How recordings are used: Voicemail recordings are made available within the Application to authenticated volunteers who are within geographic proximity of the caller, so that volunteers can understand the nature of the request and decide whether to offer assistance.
Transcription and summarization: Voicemail recordings are transcribed using OpenAI’s Whisper speech-to-text service and summarized using OpenAI’s GPT language model to provide brief, readable descriptions of each request. Audio recordings may contain personal information provided voluntarily by the caller. We send voicemail audio to OpenAI solely for transcription and summarization in support of volunteer coordination. Neither party’s real phone number is revealed to the other. Twilio may process and temporarily store communication metadata (such as call duration and timestamps) in accordance with their privacy policy.
